Primary Duties
The Assistant Director of Recruitment serves as a key representative of Northeast Community College, delivering a high standard of customer service to prospective students and their families. Often the first point of contact for future students, this role plays a critical part in creating positive first impressions and fostering meaningful connections with the College.

This position provides leadership in the planning, coordination, and execution of recruitment initiatives. Working in close collaboration with the Director of Recruitment, the Assistant Director helps shape innovative outreach strategies, event programming, and communication efforts to support student enrollment and engagement goals.

The Assistant Director must be an enthusiastic and effective communicator, skilled at engaging with a wide variety of individuals and committed to delivering a welcoming, student-centered experience at every interaction.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Managing and leading daily campus tours, on-campus recruitment events, and career exploration days.
  • Hiring, training, and supervising up to 20 Student Ambassadors, each working approximately six hours per week, to support campus tours and recruitment events.
  • Supervising the Campus Visit Specialist and ensuring all campus visit processes and scheduling are effectively maintained.
  • Delivering engaging presentations about admissions and college opportunities to visiting groups.
  • Working closely with the Communications & Recruitment Coordinator to plan and carry out recruitment events throughout the academic year.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to support the promotion of recruitment events and related communications.
  • Collaborating with external partners and college departments to plan and execute on-campus recruitment events; serving on college committees as assigned.

Compensation Details

This position is in a Salary Grade PM4, with a starting salary $51,264 per annum. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.
