Primary Duties

The purpose of this position is to oversee nightly activities at the residence life front desk, and oversee the safety of residents. This is accomplished by providing service and information to students, staff, prospective students and visitors; supervise residents overnight and report any unusual behavior; ensure safety and security of residence halls overnight; respond to crisis situations; other duties include working non-traditional hours; documenting incidents through typed or written reports. Hours for this position will be 10:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. Sunday night through Thursday night.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Human Collaboration Skills: Work requires contacts with management personnel from other departments, including coordinators, directors, chairpersons, and assistant deans. Contacts may require the consideration of different points of view to reach agreement. Elements of persuasion may be necessary to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas.

Technical Skills: Basic: This job title requires the use of standard technical skills appropriate to the work environment of the organization.


Compensation Details

This position is in CS1, with a minimum salary of $17.55 per hour. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.
