Wayne State College is seeking a Campus Visits Coordinator.
The campus visit program is the single most important experience during the college selection process. The Campus Visits Coordinator performs the vital role of organizing and coordinating campus tours, information sessions, and other admissions events. The coordinator ensures that visitors have a positive and informative experience, which helps shape their decision to enroll. The coordinator is among the first people that prospective students and their families meet, therefore has a powerful effect on the first impressions of the College. This position requires the ability to relate effectively to people from a wide variety of backgrounds and to respond to unique and spontaneous situations. Responsible for hiring, training, and supervising multiple student employees.
Nature of Work: Plans and oversees campus visit programs for prospective students and their families. Includes hiring, training and supervising student employees.
Examples of Work Performed:
1. Coordinate and oversee all planning associated with the campus visit program.
a. Create a vision for and implement that vision for the campus visit program.
2. Maintain accurate records of campus visit statistics, including visitor demographics, feedback, and conversion rates. Generate regular reports to assess the effectiveness of campus visit programming.
3. Collaborate program content and arrange for responsibilities of these visits.
4. Coordinate appropriate pre and post visit communication to prospective students.
5. Recruit, select, train, evaluate, supervise, and coordinate schedules for a team of student tour guides.
6. Distributes visit reports to staff leadership utilizing CRM, and Excel and Outlook email as needed.
7. Design and maintain a variety of presentations for the campus visit program.
8. Supervise and coordinate the Student Calling team.
9. Work closely with the Vice President of Enrollment Management, Director of Admissions, and other Admissions’ staff to identify opportunities to enhance the campus visit program.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Effective and comfort in presenting and public speaking.
- Customer service-oriented with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency and comfort in using booking and scheduling software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of prospective students.
- Knowledge of the college admissions process and higher education trends is a plus.
- Strong cross-cultural interpersonal and writing skills.
