Projected annual compensation is $99,529.20-$144,811.28 based on related experience, knowledge, skills and abilities (not including benefits). Profit Sharing Bonus 5 year average= 20.17%

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel - Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Shift Electrician. The responsibilities of Shift Electrician include, but are not limited to,

  • Day-to-day electrical maintenance in the plant
  • Automation and daily use of CMMS
  • Supporting maintenance and production crews
  • Special projects
  • Eliminating downtime and waste
  • Improving predictive and preventative maintenance

This could include troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading production equipment. Candidates must be able to work scheduled/unscheduled shifts, rotating day and night shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates electrical technical degree confirmed by January 2026; or 3 years industrial electrical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience with power systems maintenance
  • PLC systems building, programming, and troubleshooting experience
