The purpose of this position is to maintain a clean, safe and comfortable learning environment for students, faculty, staff and administrators. This is accomplished by sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming classrooms, offices, halls, restrooms, windows, corridors, and other public areas, making minor repairs, and reporting maintenance issue in the buildings. Other duties include picking up supplies from warehouse and delivering to buildings, picking up trash, and performing routine maintenance. Maintains assigned area(s) in a clean, orderly and attractive manner and performs related work as assigned by the Director of Custodial Services Norfolk, and the Director of Physical Plant Norfolk. Some weekends and holidays required. The work hours for this position are Monday-Friday 1:00 pm-10:00 pm. These hours are subject to change.

This position is in CS1, with a minimum salary of $17.55 per hour. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.
