Primary Duties
The purpose of this position is to instruct classes, labs and clinical as assigned by the Dean and Director of Nursing Program and to develop new courses. This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; serving on college committees; attending meetings; participate in course and program assessment along with accreditation activities; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, guidelines, and regulations of Northeast Community College.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES FOR NURSING PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR:
1. Evaluates clinical experiences for students within specific courses.
2. Maintains a liaison relationship with clinical facilities.
3. Plans a yearly meeting with clinical facilities and others, as necessary, related to student experiences and individual course objectives.
4. Follows the leadership of the Director of Nursing Programs and the Dean of Health and Public Services Division.
Must pass a criminal and Central Registry Adult and Child Abuse background check.
Compensation Details
Position starts with the Fall 2025 semester. Salary is based on the faculty salary schedule
