Primary Duties
College of Nursing IT Support
1. Provide direct PC/IT support and maintenance for UNMC College of Nursing (CON) Northern Division, in coordination with CON Workstation Specialist.
2. Work with UNMC IT Department and CON Workstation Specialist to provide support and maintenance of Northern Division IT resources.
3. Work with Northeast Community College to support maintenance of computer lab and testing lab computers, printing services, simulators, wireless network registrations, and simulation recording systems.
4. Regular attendance and participation in weekly CON IT meetings. Attendance at other position relevant meetings as requested.
Course/Classroom Support
1. Manage classroom technology support including display, audio, and conferencing systems for CON Northern Division.
2. Maintain, operate and train faculty and staff to use learning resources including but not limited to the iWall, ZSpace, Occulus headsets, and other virtual reality software.
3. Responsible for inventory (receiving, shipping, tracking) of course-related materials processed through the Northern Division LRC. Collaborates and coordinates with CON LRC Director and Division Assistant Dean regarding LRC equipment, supplies and resources.
4. Serves as the primary contact for all technology questions, training and needs.
5. Provide exam software support and proctor student exams as needed.
LRC Supervision/Coordination
1. Supervise operation of Northern Division LRC, including but not limited to availability and maintenance of facility, equipment, software and supplies.
2. Coordinate the operation, scheduling, setup, maintenance and storage of Human Patient Simulators.
3. Maintain skills/practice lab areas including but not limited to ordering, usage and storing of Northern Division LRC lab equipment and supplies.
4. Responsible for inventory and check-out system for Northern Division LRC audio visual and educational programs and equipment. Coordinates with CON LRC Director and Division Assistant Dean regarding expenditure of funds for Northern Division LRC supplies and equipment.
5. Attend training to maintain knowledge of equipment and technology as needed.
