Neligh Chamber of Commerce: (Calendar Year Schedule)
q Plan, coordinate and attend meetings of the Neligh Chamber of Commerce and its subcommittees. This includes preparation of agendas, minutes, financials, and other meeting materials.
q Engage in activities that communicate with and assist existing Chamber members.
q Coordinate annual Chamber membership drive and spearhead the recruitment of new Chamber members.
q Process and track annual Chamber memberships.
q Prepare, track, and audit Chamber Big Bucks orders.
q Assist with design and implementation of new Chamber membership benefits.
q Create Annual Budget for Chamber Approval (December)
q Correspond with new Chamber members by sending membership thank you’s/receipts and introducing the benefits of membership.
q Make deposits, pay bills, and submit invoices for the Chamber. Utilize QuickBooks to manage financials for the Neligh Chamber of Commerce.
q Serve as project lead on all marketing efforts that include: social media, print, radio, television and digital media.
q Manage www.NelighChamber.com, the Neligh Chamber’s various social media accounts to ensure the content is up to date and of value to the citizens of Neligh and Chamber Members.
q Serve as co-chair of all Chamber sub-committees and organize volunteer and planning efforts that correlate with subcommittee duties.
q Prepare financial reports prior to every Chamber meeting and act as Secretary and Treasurer for the Neligh Chamber of Commerce.
q Organize and prepare Chamber events including but not limited to Business After Hours, BBQ, Annual Banqet, Antelope County Ag & Home Expo, annual meetings, and other Holiday events.
Neligh Economic Development Offices: (Fiscal Year Calendar Oct. – Sep.)
q Help filter inquiries and requests for information to the appropriate office.
q Completes requests by greeting customers, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Frequent inquires include housing rentals, travel information, and business contact information.
q Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
q Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
q Maintain visibility at the community level.
q Provide assistance with tasks that contribute to event planning and program development.
q Assist the Director in the promotion and development,
q Promotes Neligh with an active and engaging presence at regional, state, and national events.
q Maintain and develop good contacts with State and Local officials, government entities, organizations, districts and the media.
q Assist with the development of both short term and long term economic plans and programs not only to enhance current activity in the area, but to encourage future activity.
q Monitor scheduling of city-wide events to avoid conflict with attendance.
q Assist in workforce and business recruitment efforts.
q Other duties as assigned.
Other:
q Valid Driver’s License.
q Minimal night and weekend work may be required.
q Excellent attendance and timeliness.
q Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

q Two years of experience in business, customer service, administrative, or related field.
Skills preferred for this position include:
q Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
q Two years’ experience in business, economic development, Chamber of Commerce work, hospitality, or similar fields.
q Experience with QuickBooks
q Knowledge of grant writing.
q A strong background in business administration, business development and/or marketing.
q The ability to initiate new projects and manage existing projects with little oversight.
q The ability to perform in high-intensity work environments.
q A strong personal desire for learning and professional growth in economic development.
