Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel – Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Metallurgical Lab Technician.  This position includes but is not limited to preparing and testing samples, operating and performing basic maintenance on polishing equipment, saws, lathe, forge and other lab equipment, documenting test results, and communicating with various departments to ensure customer test and delivery requirements are met. Cross training in other areas within QA to fill in when needed.  Candidate must be able to work rotating shifts and scheduled/unscheduled overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
