Primary Duties

The purpose of this position is to provide managerial oversight for the development, operation, and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and utility distribution systems. General duties for this position include but are not limited to: sets the strategic direction for the facilities management of energy use and the distribution strategy; provides supervision to designated maintenance staff and ensures the team is performing effectively and efficiently; identify and implement best practices for the Physical Plant and develop metrics to evaluate and manage performance; bring innovation, attention to client services, and proactively adapt to emerging trends; recommend and implement utility related projects that support capital construction improvement; perform routine and extensive range of work in the repair and general maintenance of college facilities, buildings, and equipment to ensure normal and efficient operations; manage employee access to campus locations through the campus access-control system and locksmithing; work directly with architects, engineers, and contractors related to all mechanical, electrical, and utility distribution systems related to capital construction; provides assistance to other physical plant staff as needed to maintain optimum efficiency. Willing to be available at off hours as needed for increased workloads and emergencies. Develop and maintain a good relationship with the campus community and students.

Compensation Details

This position is in a Salary Grade PM5, with a minimum starting salary $60,348 per annum. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.
