Primary Duties

1. Provides day-to-day leadership that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of MHC. 

2. Oversees clinical processes, focuses on patient care, and ensures compliance with regulations and accreditation requirements. 

3. Develops and maintains a culture of quality and operations efficiency demonstrating continuous survery readiness, quality improvement, and positive collaboration between clinical and operational teams. 

4. Manages scheduling for assigned departments/programs and coordinates with other managers to assure coverage of MHC on a daily basis. 

5. Identifies and implements system improvements in the areas of productivity, quality assurance/improvement, customer service, and marketing. Collaborates with informatics and other staff to develop and maintain data driven decision-making that supports the development and assurance of quality and efficiency. 

6. Initiates the development of policies, procedures, standing orders and other operational or clinical guidance that govern clinical and nursing services. 

7. Works directly under the COO to manage their scope of assigned duties and to manage in lieu of the COO for periods of short-term management when the COO is on leave or the position is vacant. 

Oversees and manages assigned programs, grants, projects related to staff, and budgets and implements a system for reviewing, analyzing and evaluating assignments to indicate growth, success, or planned improvements. 

Understands and maintains continuity of operations during the absence of the COO for short durations to assist with other C-suite officials in assuring continuity during vacancies of any kind. 

8. Works in conjuction with the C-suite and other key staff to review, analyze, and evaluate assigned cost centers and actively participates in the developement and implementation of new projects and programs. 

9. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in regard to their designated area of oversight and supervision. This includes but is not limted to active internal auditing of processes for key areas of performance and assuring action toward grant deliverables, workplan accomplishments and that all reporting requirements for grants are met. 

10. Performs other duties as assigned. 

Duties 1 thought 9 are designated as ADA Essential Functions and must be performed in this job. All other job duties are secondary functions. 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Ability to efficiently carry out Midtown Health's Center mission statement and comply with its policies and procedures. 

2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers, and the public and to be able to demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity. 

3. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance to HIPAA regulations. 

4. Ability to comply with all occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued under the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). 

5. Ability to utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address clinic's needs. 

6. Ability to interpret oral and written instructions and do appropriate follow-up.

7. Ability to work independently and as a team member. 

8. Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills.

9. Ability to constructively participate in marketing and outreach activities when requested and emergency response events when required. 

10. Bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written skills highly desired.
