Primary Duties

Nucor Steel Nebraska- is seeking applicants for the position of Level 2 Computer/Network Technician.  The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, hands-on network administration support, network maintenance, design, and operations support, system and network troubleshooting, wireless support, end-user assistance, remote troubleshooting from home or off-site as needed, ensure backup of critical data & files, maintain Level 2 systems, and lead innovative projects in hardware and software upgrades.  Candidates must be able to work scheduled/unscheduled overtime, weekends and holidays.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (Nucor will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate and/or Bachelor’s degree confirmed by May 2025

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience managing network infrastructure and troubleshooting

Experience managing Active Directory environments

Experience with a variety of programming languages

Rockwell/Siemens Automation Network Experience

Experience with industrial production network

Experience with setup, design, and configuration of Level 1 and Level 2 automation servers and computers

Experience Managing Servers in VMWare VSphere Environment
