Position: Information Technology (IT) Coordinator

Reports To: CEO and Management Team

Compensation Status: Full-time Salary

Hours: Monday-Friday - 40 hours a week

Job Location: Family 1st Dental Support Center – Norfolk, NE & On-Site Locations.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Information Technology (IT) Coordinator will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintaining the IT systems, hardware, software, and network operations of Family 1st Dental – a group of 22 dental offices, with a support center in Norfolk, NE.

They will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and secure operation of the IT infrastructure (both in-house and out in the field), resolving technical issues, and assisting end-users in utilizing technology effectively. You are expected to travel to our on-site locations as needed. Vehicle pool available for travel, milage paid when not.

The IT Coordinator collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance IT solutions that align with the organization's goals and objectives. This position includes customer service aspects of prioritizing, problem solving, and communicating. In addition, this position will promote the safety and security of Family 1st Dental’s IT operations.

This position will work closely with our CEO, Management Team, and Facilities Manager. Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with the Facilities Manager and our on-site clinic teams is a must.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide IT support for technical, hardware, and software issues for all offices and team members.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and upgrade hardware, software, network infrastructure, and peripheral equipment.
  • Maintain and update equipment lifecycle (purchasing, warranty replacement, and disposal, etc.) of workstations, laptops, printers, and other hardware.
  • Configure and install any of the following as part of project services: networking equipment, servers, workstations, peripherals, communication devise, software, backup solutions, printers, and other commercial IT solutions.
  • Maintain network security measures.
  • Network and systems maintenance.
  • Monitor network status over multiple sites.
  • Security and data protection.
  • Vendor Management - maintain relationships with current and future vendors and create cost efficient contracts for review and acceptance by CEO.
  • Ensure Licensing Management.
  • Configure and manage end user access. Maintain user-level security access. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Ensure that all IT systems are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Stay current with technology trends.
  • Participate in testing and deployment of new network hardware and software, including cloud-based solutions.
  • Responsible for maintaining IT disaster recovery plan and operations.
  • Troubleshoot IT-related issues with external partners.
  • Provide recommendations for upgrades and replacements.
  • Keep inventory of all hardware and software.
  • Maintain a budget and guidelines for the department and participate in budget meetings.
  • Create and update manuals and documentation. Prepare, update and maintain high standard of documentation for systems, processes, and operational procedures.
  • Support onboarding/off-boarding employees on corporate systems.
  • Respond to IT support requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Keep detailed records of all support incidences, IT issues, solutions, and inventory.
  • User training and documentation.
  • Train staff on IT best practices and software usage.
  • Assist in IT policy enforcement.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred or equivalent proven experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience of working with both hardware and software support and basic network management.
  • Certifications a plus.

ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The IT Coordinator will also provide some assistance to our Facilities Manager when traveling to our offices. He is also available to help perform simple IT help when you’re unable to be at a location. We are looking for someone with a willingness to jump in as needed to help out in the field. A team player is a must! We encourage seeing a problem in the field and fixing it when you can.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of computer hardware components.
  • Understanding of networking concepts/protocols.
  • Advanced knowledge of O365, including SharePoint, Exchange Online, Azure AD, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
  • Dental software experiences a plus!
  • Desktop Support: Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Hands on experience with help desk and remote-control software.
  • Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience.
  • Knowledge of network and cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with hardware components and peripheral devices.
  • Experience with system administration and user management.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to identify and manage priorities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Task-oriented and organized, experience managing a ticket queue and ability to prioritize.
  • Organizational skills, team player, can collaborate in a productive fashion.
  • Able to troubleshoot a large variety of technical issues.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written/verbal communications skills.

Compensation Details

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
