Primary Duties

 

Northeast Community College, a Top 10 Nationally Ranked Community College located in Norfolk, Nebraska is seeking a talented individual to fill a key technical position within our Network and Infrastructure department. This position is located in Norfolk, NE-Onsite preferred, hybrid remote possible.

The successful candidate will support a variety of services including the following:

    • Certificate Management
    • Cloud Infrastructure
    • Backup Management
    • Data Warehousing
    • Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
    • Electronic Communication (Email and Messaging)
    • Endpoint Detection and Response
    • Endpoint Management & Inventory System(s)
    • Identity Management
    • Monitoring & Alerting
    • Operating System Administration (Windows Desktop\Server, Linux, MacOS, iOS, Android)
    • Security Information and Event Management
    • Server Hosting and Administration
    • Tier 3 Support for Service Center

 

This position reports to the Senior Director of Network & Infrastructure. We are looking for an individual who can apply their technical expertise and knowledge of best security practices and methodologies to design, implement and support a variety of infrastructure / Infrastructure applications & hosted solutions to meet customer needs. The individual selected for this position must also work effectively in an enterprise team environment to ensure student success. Alternative work hours may be required occasionally. Remote access and mobile communications devices are required for this position.
 
Minimum of 2 years Systems Administration experience preferred

Demonstrated working experience with the following is preferred:

· Ability to plan, organize and document complex system design
· Investigate, research, and troubleshoot complex systems
· Monitor, evaluate, and report on system performance
· Configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures

· Perform multiple tasks concurrently and respond to emergency situations effectively

· Windows server and desktop operating systems / roles
· Azure / Cloud infrastructure
· Office 365 Administration
· Identity management
· Endpoint Management
· Security systems including EDRSEIM, & Windows Firewall

Compensation Details

This position is in Salary Grade PM5, with a minimum starting wage of $58,590 per annum. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.
