Primary Duties
Position Description
We’re looking to hire a Field Service Technician to provide installation and maintenance for equipment in the field. This position requires the ability to adapt to a variety of work environments and quickly solve problems. During the 4-5 month growing season, Field Service Technicians will primarily be on the road. The rest of the year will be spent primarily working at the office on production-related tasks, but may also involve some travel and field service work. A company vehicle is provided during work hours. Responsibilities
- Install or upgrade equipment in various field locations within a 300-mile radius from Norfolk. Occasional travel across the U.S. may be required to support dealers in other key markets
- Configure hardware and software components after installation
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment
- Testing of equipment and troubleshooting issues
- Document equipment installations and repairs
- Teach customers how to use equipment properly
- Manage the stock of replacement parts and equipment
- Typical hours for this position average 40-50 per week, with up to 60 hours during the busy season.
Compensation Details
Pay: commensurate with experience, starting at $45,000 and up
Full time: Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm (off-season) and extended hours during the farming season includings Saturdays until noon
