Primary Duties

DP Management, LLC is seeking a part-time Leasing Agent to join our team in Norfolk, NE, NE. This is a great opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, has a strong work ethic, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The Leasing Agent will work closely with the Property Manager to lease and manage apartments and other property operations. The Leasing Agent will also be responsible for assisting with marketing, marketing events and maintaining the building and grounds of the property.

The Job Duties

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone
  • Focuses on renewals, resident retention, and 100% occupancy
  • Collects rent from tenants, issues 3-day notices, and coordinates move-ins and move-outs
  • Uses marketing and social media tools to build business
  • Maintains a professional attitude and appearance at all times
  • Maintains the phone systems by taking all calls within three rings.
  • Responds to customers’ needs and informs maintenance or management of any tenant issues/repairs, while providing updates to the customer.
  • Inspects units to make sure they are market ready
  • Show apartments to prospects and tailor product knowledge according to the customers’ needs and by using suggestive selling
  • Have prospects complete application and secure deposit in compliance with the Fair Housing Act
  • Submit paperwork to Property Manager for approval and update prospects on the progress of their application
  • Takes calls and messages for the Property Manager when directed
  • Assists the Property Manager with filing needs
  • Ensures office environment is clean and safe from workplace hazards

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently with a high level of attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and complete them in a timely manner
  • Professional demeanor and appearance with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills quickly and continue to learn new skills through on-the-job training
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record, be able to pass a background check, and have reliable transportation.

Compensation Details

Starting at $15 / hour


Benefits

Monday through Friday, flexible schedule, some weekends needed
