Primary Duties


The purpose of this position is to provide excellent customer service as the front-line contact in Student Services. This position serves as a backup to the full time Admissions and Registration Specialists by assisting students through admissions and registration processes and providing services relating to admissions, registration, and academic records including both credit and non-credit processing. This position also provides administrative support to the Assistant Registrar and assists current and prospective students with the use of military educational benefits. This is accomplished by handling phone calls, emails, and walk-ins regarding the admissions, registration, and student military educational benefit processes.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Requires excellent communication skills, experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

One year of administrative assistant experience is required. Experience working with Veteran’s services is preferred.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate’s degree is preferred.

Candidate will need to complete an Excel skills exercise after the conclusion of the interview. This position will work 25-28 hours per week and those hours are flexible between 8:00 am-5:00 pm.  

Compensation Details


This position is in a salary grade CS1, with a minimum salary of $16.23 per hour. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.


This part time position is not eligible for benefits.
