Primary Duties
Nucor Steel – Nebraska is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Division Controller. This is a Senior level Leadership position at the Division reporting directly to the General Manager. This position is part of the Leadership team that makes Division level decisions.
The role of the Division Controller includes but is not limited to:
Leadership in managing the Nucor Steel accounting and related financial reporting, Credit, Purchasing, and Human Resources functions
Leadership in protecting Nucor’s assets through risk management activities, maintaining internal controls, and various contract negotiations
Providing general financial experience and leadership to critically analyze business situations and help formulate vision and strategies
A key business partner to his or her peers and their departments in order to facilitate continuous improvement across the division
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field with 5 years supervisory experience in accounting or related field
Demonstrated proficiency in accounting through education and work experience
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft office skills, especially with Microsoft Excel
