Primary Duties
This position will be located wherever the best candidate is located in Nebraska, and will be responsible for covering the state of Nebraska with services.
The APEX Accelerator bilingual consultant provides eligible entities, and specifically Spanish speaking entities, with assistance in identifying, targeting, preparing proposals, submitting proposals, preparing and submitting performance reports, and collecting payment on government contracts. Assistance is designed to meet requirements of the Defense Logistics Agency, U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) but may include assistance to organizations (Spanish and English speaking) seeking contracts with other federal agencies and with state and local governments. Counselors are expected to make a concerted effort to seek out and assist Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB), Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business Concerns, Service disabled Veteran-owned Small Businesses, and Historically Black Colleges and Minority Institutions (HBCU/MIs), and Spanish speaking business owners.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, accounting, marketing, or related field.
Required Experience: Minimum of two years of relevant work experience that may include procurement and contracting, market research, selling, business consulting, economic development, business building endeavors, or any other combination of relevant work experiences.
Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license. Ability to travel within Nebraska 25% of the time.
Must be fluent in Spanish and English
Will consider an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Salary: $55,000-$60,000
