Primary Duties
  Job Description
  HOURS:  9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Provide quality service to bank customers by performing routine branch and customer service duties and by developing long term customer relationships. 
  • Receive checking and savings deposits: verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification for cash back, and issue receipts of deposit.
  • Examine checks deposited and determine proper funds availability based on regulation requirements and complete Hold Notices as necessary
  • Process savings and checking withdrawals.
  • Cash checks: verify endorsement, receive proper identification, and ensure validity.
  • Identify counterfeit currency.
  • Answer basic customer inquiries regarding interest rates, service charges, and account histories while complying with disclosure requirements, regulations and consumer privacy policies.
  • Cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Refer customers to the proper department for issues that cannot be resolved at the teller line.
  • Count and roll loose coins.
  • Issue personal money orders and cashier's checks, redemption of Savings Bonds, process cash advances.
  • Accept loan payments: verify payment amount and issue receipts.
  • Buy and sell currency from the vault as necessary, ensuring that teller drawer cash limits are not exceeded.
  • Ensure teller station is properly supplied.
  • Follow procedures for removing accounts for dormancy.
  • Balance drawer accurately, daily, including periodic batching of cashed checks, resolve offages, maintain bait money.               
  • Prepare CTR reports for transactions.
  • Scan proof work, SCO.
  • Follow all bank policies and procedures.
  • Follow robbery, early morning and opening and closing procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You will need to have a minimum one-year of current bank experience as a teller or new accounts representative or equivalent experience in a cash handling position may be considered. Ability to use standard office equipment such as a computer and calculator. High School Graduate or Equivalent education.
