Job Summary: Under the direction of the registered nurse (RN), provides nursing care in accordance with departmental and facility policies and procedures as well as with their State Practice Act. The licensed practical nurse (LPN) assists the RN with assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care. The LPN is responsible for documentation of their care including interventions, outcomes, and resident/family education. They collaborate with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary health care team to provide continuity of care. The LPN is responsible for the direction and assignment of nursing interventions that may be performed by others as well as care and interventions delegated to them by the RN. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate resident care and is accountable to the policies and procedures of the organization and St. Joe’s Rehabilitation and Care Center.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Job Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.

Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license from the State of Nebraska required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within one full month from date of hire required.

Previous clinical experience preferred.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required.
