Primary Duties

 Essential Functions:                                                                                     
• Calculates adjustments to employee pay and leave
• Reviews exception sheet and generated timecards and reports from the computerized punch time system.
• Able to use payroll software accurately
• Reviews system generated payroll reports for errors and discrepancies
• Processes changes to employees’ payroll requests: tax withholding, direct deposits, bank instructions, etc.
• Ensures the timely processing of payroll and tax reports to the federal and state governments.
• Makes Salary adjustments as authorized by the HR Director
• Ensures accurate PTO calculations and balances
• Researches and responds to employee questions concerning their paychecks
• Maintains logs and files.
• Works with external auditors during payroll and benefit audits.
• Maintains a good working relations ship within the department and with other departments
• Answers the phone in a professional manner, routes calls appropriately.
• Performs other clerical duties as assigned


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education/Experience/Knowledge:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Associates Degree in Accounting, Business Administration
• Experience in payroll services preferred
