Primary Duties

The mission of Faith Regional Health Services is to serve Christ by providing all people with exemplary medical services in an environment of love and care.

Job Summary: Performs sleep study procedure, staging and scoring with knowledge and understanding of the differences in patient care required based on age, medical history, race and religious beliefs.  Works with the Sleep Disorders Center Medical Director and Coordinator on test scheduling, report distribution, and equipment troubleshooting.  Assists in updating policy and procedures as well as participating with equipment maintenance and performance improvement.  Participates under direction of the Sleep Center Medical Director and Coordinator with patient and family education as it relates to sleep apnea and also communicates with patient, family, nursing, and other healthcare team members for integration of care/services.  Assumes scheduling, scoring, reporting, & general supervisory responsibilities/duties in absence of the Sleep Center Coordinator.  The Sleep Disorders Center Technologist is expected to carry out the mission, vision, values, and quality commitment of Faith Regional Health Services to all internal and external customers.

Job Requirements:

GED, High School Diploma or Associate Degree preferred.

Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy or Sleep Technology preferred. 

Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained within one full month from date of hire required.

Current Respiratory Therapist license from the State of Nebraska or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification required.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required.
