Primary Duties
The purpose of this position is to instruct classes and labs as assigned by the Dean and to develop new courses. This is accomplished by maintaining requisite office hours; providing academic advisement to students; serving on college committees; attending meetings; participating in professional development activities; and performing all instructional-related activities as directed within the policies, guidelines, and regulations of Northeast Community College.
Qualifications: Education
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related educational field or an Associate’s Degree with five years of experience in the appropriate field.
Qualifications: Experience
Three years teaching or industry experience in precision agriculture or related area is required. Preference will be given to applicants with post-secondary teaching experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Candidate should be able to demonstrate expertise in precision agriculture technology and skills in operating and maintaining precision agriculture equipment. Working knowledge of field mapping, variable rate irrigation and other crop related technologies is expected.
Candidates that are selected for an interview will be expected to demonstrate teaching ability by presenting a twenty minute lesson on a topic of his/her choice related to precision agriculture.
Compensation Details
Position starts with the Fall 2022 semester. Salary is based on the faculty salary schedule.
