Primary Duties
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) at ILC provide support to people with developmental disabilities in a variety of different environments, including at their day site location, community, and residential home.
DSP Responsibilities:
Promoting positive social interactions
Support individuals in the community and their choice of activities
Maintain and clean and safe environment
Administer medications
Support individuals with hygiene
Provide transportation
Encourage and create a diverse team environment
Document program data at each shift
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Desire to work in a team environment, even when supporting someone individually
Ability to work independently
A level of integrity that motivates doing the right thing, even when no one is watching
Ability to be flexible and handle change well
Understanding of responsibility for the safety of the people supported, their teammates, and themselves
Drive to encourage people who are working toward goals, understanding that achieving those goals comes in a series of ups and downs, wins and losses
A good track record of attendance and understanding the importance of consistency for the people ILC supports
Compensation Details
Full-time Days: $15/hr
Part-time days: $14.50/hr
Full-time & Part-time Residential: $15.50/hr
Full-time & Part-time Supported Services: $16/hr

ILC offers eligible full-time employees health insurance coverage, including health, dental, and vision. Eligibility requires working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
ILC provides eligible employees with a 401(k) Qualified Retirement plan. Employees who are 19 years old and complete one year of service, working at least 1000 hours during that first year, are eligible to participate in the plan.
