Primary Duties

The mission of Faith Regional Health Services is to serve Christ by providing all people with exemplary medical services in an environment of love and care.

 

Job Summary:  This position requires advanced secretarial skills, the ability to draft correspondence, work with minimal supervision and handle general office duties in a fast-paced environment.  Performs general clerical duties as determined by supervisor(s) to include filing and answering the telephone(s).   Responsible for preparing reports, meeting minutes, memos, correspondence, and forms. Responsible for electronic management of contracts and renewals.  Provides administrative assistant support, including coordinating and managing multiple calendars and schedules for the Vice Presidents and Directors. Oversees daily operational activities of administrative offices. Serve in committees and assist with programs of the hospital to constantly improve the quality of health care and promote good public relations. Acts as a liaison between administration and hospital staff.

 


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Job Requirements:

GED/High School Diploma or Associate Degree preferred

Previous healthcare experience preferred

Administrative Assistant experience in a health care setting preferred

Combination of 2 years of education and experience in position field required

 

Skills/Knowledge Requirements:

Language Skills - Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required

Word processing and computer knowledge preferred 

Mathematical aptitude and effective communication skills preferred 

Excellent customer service and judgement skills preferred      

Ability to work in a timely manner within the time allotted preferred            

Knowledge of patient rights, safety rights, safety practices, infection control principles, and risk management issues preferred
