Primary Duties

The purpose of this position is to assist in upholding community standards within Residence Life and provide educational opportunities to members of Northeast. The assistant director will serve as an on-campus resource for the residents, uphold student and community accountability, implement prevention programs, and provide training and oversight to the Appellate Board. The assistant director ensures building security and policy enforcement and assists with the daily responsibilities of the Residence Life & Student Conduct departments.

This is accomplished by living on-site, building relationships with students, adjudicating Residence Life policy violations, and assisting with community and student development via accountability and educational measures. The assistant director will mediate conflicts that occur between residents, be visible and available within the community, and enforce procedures as outlined in the Residence Life Handbook and Student Code of Conduct. Other duties include, but are not limited to, serving on call to address emergencies and crisis situations, creating and implementing and student conduct curriculum, and performing administrative duties as needed.

Other duties include: On-call rotation, administrative work

Compensation Details

This position is in Salary Grade 616, with a minimum salary of $49,237 per annum. The successful candidate’s salary will be calculated based on education and experience within the grade range.
