Primary Duties
Administer direct hands-on patient care under the supervision/direction of supervising provider
Ensure patient flow is timely and accurate throughout the clinic
Prepares patient and assists provider with exam as needed
Obtains a complete set of vital signs including a pain score as needed each visit
Reviews and documents patient medications
Keeps exam rooms clean and well-stocked
Checks equipment daily to ensure accurate functioning
Administration of medications and vaccines via injection
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Perform Medical Assistant tasks according to Nebraska State Health Care Assistant Certification
Must have a good working knowledge of computer systems
Ability to operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax, and copy machines
Must possess the ability to deal with staff, physicians, visitors, vendors, patients, and the general public in a tactful, diplomatic, and pleasant manner.
Must possess the ability to work harmoniously (in a team setting) with professional and non-professional staff.
Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and maintain confidentiality.
Must be capable of clear and timely written/verbal communication with peers, professional staff, physicians, and management.
Must be organized, a self-starter, and must have an eye for detail and accuracy. Must possess an ability to individually complete assignments.
