Job Summary:
To maintain a clean, safe, sanitary environment and prevent healthcare-associated infections using standard cleaning procedures and chemicals in all areas of the facility for patients, staff and community. Demonstrates positive customer relations having a good knowledge of where all department and services are located. Works with patients, families, departmental co-workers, members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, physicians, and general public.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Job Requirements:
Equivalent to two years of high school preferred.
Previous cleaning in healthcare setting preferred.
Ability to apply knowledge of patient rights, safety rights, safety practices, infection control principles, and risk management issues. Ability to follow policies and procedures of department and hospital. Ability to maintain a high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism. Serve in committees and assist with programs of the hospital to constantly improve the quality of health care and promote good public relations. Ability to work in a timely manner, within the time allotted for the shift per census count.
