Primary Duties
Having a career in the field of Human Services is so important as we help struggling families overcome drug and alcohol abuse, domestic abuse, mental health, and behavioral challenges.
Full-time position includes day, evening, and weekend hours working to improve the lives of families. Extensive travel is required. Weekly referral hours are flexible but must be met according to contracts.
Family support workers offer a range of services including visitations and support for families. Family support workers strive to enhance the independence of families we serve by demonstrating skills, educating, and empowering them to reach their goals.
The focus is on promoting child and family well-being and enhancement of overall protective factors for resiliency, positive environment, and meaningful social connections.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Potential Employees should have knowledge of:
Ø Ages & stages of Children
Ø Non-physical forms of discipline & Conflict Resolution
Ø Household Maintenance: Budgeting & Money Management
Ø Community Resource Identification
Family Support duties may include one or a combination of the following:
Ø Achieve a healthy and safe home environment
Ø Teach proper care /hygiene
Ø Safety and management of children
Ø Improve communication
Ø Anger & Stress Management
Ø Connect with local support systems
Ø Coordinate, arrange &/or provide transportation
Ø Provide training to families to ensure positive and productive interactions
Compensation Details
$16 - $19 per hour plus overtime available.
