About us
The Zone Afterschool Program is a safe place for youth to go after school, develop deeper relationships with friends and adults who care, and be provided with a activities they can choose to participate in. Each student chooses an adult mentor, with whom they will meet several times during the month to discuss school, set goals for relationships, vocation and anything that may help the student successfully navigate life. The Zone is a program for youth in 7th- 12th grade.
Program Director
Job Description: The Zone Afterschool Program is looking to hire a Program Director to oversee and implement the various programs we offer to our students. The program director would also be responsible for overseeing the facility/maintenance. All staff are required to do one on one mentoring with youth.
Job Responsibilities: Develop and oversee the following programs:
· Education/ Homework room (Communication with local schools)
· Fit4Life program that encourages students to be active and involved
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services, Human Service Counseling or something similar
· Able to foster positive and productive relationships with youth
· At least 21 years of age
· Able to be physically active and hands on with the youth
Additional details:
· 40 hours a week at $15 an hour
· Oversee the Zone’s mowing business in summer
· Oversee incentive programs

· Meeting facilitation
· Effective communicator – verbal and written
· Good active listening skills
· Good time management skills
· Ability to develop rapport with a diverse population of youth
· Conflict Resolution Skills

Pay: From $15 per hour
