Primary Duties
State Nebraska Bank & Trust is looking for an Agricultural/Commercial Loan Officer to join our community bank. This position will have a well-rounded portfolio, with a specialization in agricultural loans. The main responsibilities include assisting our community and farmers to obtain funds needed to support their goals, including business and farm operations, purchase property and equipment, and other borrowing needs. The Loan Officer will be responsible for ensuring loan documentation is completed per policy, maintaining a robust referral network in the local banking community, maintaining credit and lending files, and other related duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The successful candidate must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills. Superior communication skills, attention to details, and a thorough understanding of agricultural, business, real estate, and consumer loans are essential. A Bachelor’s degree in business is required. Candidates will be preferred if they have agribusiness and/or 5 years of banking experience. Credit history will be screened for this position. Candidate must reside or relocate within 15 miles of Wayne, Nebraska.
