Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel – Nebraska (NSNE) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Sales Clerk. The Sales Clerk’s responsibilities include but are not limited to setting up shipments, entering sales orders, creating, and updating reports, communicating with internal and external customers, providing customer account coverage as needed, assisting planning/scheduling of production, completing product/item creation in our business system, facilitating outside processing of product, and managing electronic document storage.  The Sales Clerk will work cooperatively to support our Sales–Production Scheduling team to take care of our customers.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business; and/or 2 years applicable work experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sales/Scheduling experience in the steel industry
  • Steel product knowledge
