Primary Duties
Skills Training Specialists have a wonderful opportunity to impact the lives of individuals we serve in both residential and vocational settings. Vocational responsibilities include providing guidance and support on the job and assisting with transportation as the individual gains independence at their job. Residentially we have the opportunity to assist individuals both in the home and the community. Activities might include attending appointments with individuals, running errands, assisting with in-home skills as well as some fun leisure opportunities in the community. Shift times depend on the needs of the individuals and/or their work schedules.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Interested Candidates must have:
Desire to work in a team environmentAbility to work independently
Ability to be flexible and handle change well
Ability to provide a safe environment for learning
Record of good attendance at previous jobs
Driver's license, car insurance, and good driving record
Reliable vehicle (as we do transport individuals)
Basic computer knowledge to be able to document
High school diploma or GED
Be at least 18 years of age
Be able to pass background screenings
Be able to pass drug and alcohol test
Be able to perform all essential physical functions to be able to complete required training
Compensation Details
Offering up to an $1800 hiring bonus for full time employees, pro-rated based off average hours worked for part time employees.
Schedules:
Flexible schedules are available
Must be willing to work at minimum two nights per week and every other weekend
Benefits/Pay:
Starting wage is $12/hr
Shift differentials of $1/hr for picking up shifts, additional 50 cents/hr for weekend shifts and evenings after 6pm
