Primary Duties
Will be responsible for all aspects of data and telephone services in all buildings to include changes, software installations and updates, equipment and cabling inventory. Will assist IT Director upon request with reviewing communication/telephone systems work requests, working with communication systems outside contractors, training staff on telephone systems and equipment functions and reconciliation of data and telephone invoices.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Set-ups, adds, moves and changes for telephones - both on site and at remote sites. Program telephone switches. Install telephone and/or voicemail system and firmware updates. Perform monthly system maintenance for telephone and voicemail. Establish and maintain back up procedures in the event of loss of telephone system. Set-up mailboxes for voicemail. Utilize current telephone service contracts to exchange telephones.
2. Plans network installations by studying customer orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; ordering and gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools, assessing installation site; preparing an installation diagram. Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications. Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation.
3. Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, multiplexors, cable trays, and alarm and fire-suppression systems; building ironwork and ladder racks; establishing connections; programming features; establishing connections and integrations; following industry standards; activating remote access tools; coordinating with contractors.
4. Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment, and alarms; identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
5. Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions.
6. Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
7. Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
8. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
9. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
10. Work with Information Systems to coordinate necessary upgrades and repairs.
Hours will be dependent on patient census and workload. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, to include after-hours and weekends as necessary.
